The why behind it is pretty simple. Both Founders lived abroad for a while. Both saw first hand that declaring residency in a country comes with interesting tax questions. The annoying part was, it was almost every time either a manual process or some weird online form that took way longer for a simple tax return.

RelaxTax: Who's behind it?
Dominik Sprenger and Chris Eberl founded RelaxTax in 2020 with a lot of idealism. Both want to help Austrian employees tackle the yearly tax return hassle a little more relaxed. Their career paths in FinTech and Big Tech at home and abroad further strengthen the company. Additionally on-board came Manuel Huisbauer in 2024 as CMO.
